OUR STORY

From MacCreative to QMAC

International Architecture to Independent Construction Oversight

QMAC was founded to answer a growing need among international investors in Bali:

independent, technically sound, and transparent oversight throughout the construction process.

Our foundation is built on more than 18 years of international experience in architecture, engineering, and construction management, originating from MacCreative Architecture & Engineering — a multidisciplinary practice involved in complex residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects across multiple markets.

Through years of hands-on project delivery, coordination with contractors, and on-site problem solving, one reality became clear:
many construction risks do not come from design intent, but from execution, communication gaps, and lack of independent control.

QMAC was established to address exactly this gap.

The Problem We Repeatedly Observed

Even well-designed projects often struggled during construction.

Not because of poor intentions —
but because investors lacked independent, technical visibility once construction began.

Architects design.
Contractors build.
But investors are often left without a trusted, independent party focused solely on protecting their interests on site.

The Turning Point

As MacCreative became increasingly involved in construction-phase problem solving, a clear need emerged:

A dedicated, independent system focused on quality, budget, and timeline control — separate from design and contracting responsibilities.

This realization marked the transition from architectural practice to independent construction oversight.

Why QMAC Was Created

MacCreative's long-standing involvement in real-world construction revealed recurring challenges faced by investors:

  • Limited visibility into on-site progress

  • Inconsistent workmanship and material quality

  • Budget overruns caused by unreported deviations

  • Timeline delays discovered too late to correct

  • Over-reliance on contractor-provided information

QMAC was created as a separate, independent entity to transform this experience into a dedicated service focused solely on verification, transparency, and investor protection.

We do not replace architects or contractors.
We verify, document, and report — independently.

From Design Intent to On-Site Reality

Our background in architecture and engineering allows us to understand:

Design intent

Technical execution

Construction sequencing

Real-world site constraints

This enables QMAC to identify risks early — before they turn into delays, disputes, or cost overruns.

Our Team

QMAC's team is composed of professionals with direct backgrounds in:

  • Architecture

  • Engineering coordination

  • Construction management

  • On-site execution and quality control

Every inspection and report is driven by practical, field-tested knowledge, not theoretical checklists.

This allows us to:

  • Identify issues that non-technical inspectors often miss

  • Understand construction realities and sequencing

  • Communicate effectively with architects, engineers, and contractors

  • Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for investors

Our Methodology

QMAC follows a structured and repeatable audit methodology designed to deliver clarity and consistency across all projects.

1. Project Understanding

We begin by reviewing project documentation, drawings, specifications, and current construction status to understand scope, intent, and risk areas.

2. Independent On-Site Inspections

Regular physical inspections are conducted directly on site, focusing on:

  • Progress verification

  • Workmanship quality

  • Material compliance

  • Site organization and execution accuracy

3. Evidence-Based Evaluation

All findings are documented with:

  • Dated photographs

  • Clear observations

  • Identified deviations and risks

No assumptions. No verbal-only feedback.

4. Structured Reporting

Investors receive clear, structured reports covering:

  • Current status

  • Quality and compliance findings

  • Budget and timeline alignment

  • Risk classification and recommendations

5. Ongoing Oversight

Through weekly, biweekly, or monthly reporting cycles, QMAC ensures continuity, early risk detection, and informed decision-making.
